Visa & Invitation Letter

Visa Information

Norway is a member of the Schengen Area. 

A Schengen Visa is the document issued for visiting/travelling in and within the Schengen Area. The Schengen Area is comprised of 26 countries that have agreed to allow free movement of their citizens within this area as a single country.

EU countries issuing Schengen visas:

  • Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembour, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden

Non-EU countries issuing Schengen visas:

  • Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland

EU countries not issuing Schengen visas:

  • Cyprus, Ireland

If you intend to visit one of the Schengen countries for business, as a tourist or for a personal/private visit, you must first obtain a Schengen visa, unless your country is part of the Schengen territory or has a special agreement. Invitation Letter

A Letter of Invitation is a proof that your paper submission and registration application are accepted by the conference committee board. It perhaps could help with your visa application. However, it does not guarantee you a visa.
The invitation leter will be issued ONLY after you have registered and full payment has been received.

To obtain an invitation letter, please send e-mail to icras_conf@outlook.com, together with your registration. The Conference Secretariat will then send a formal visa application form via airmail or fax with which the participants can apply for a visa.

1. The invitation letter will be issued after the successful registration. 

2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa. 

3. Please note ICRAS Conferences and Committee Board are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by ICRAS Conferences and Committee Board. Should your application be denied, ICRAS Conferences and Committee Board cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will ICRAS Conferences and Committee Board engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.

4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.
